OUR TRAINERS
Derek Welles, Owner & Trainer:
A Kansas native who played three sports in high school, Derek received his Associate’s degree at Barton County Community College where he was an athletic trainer. He continued his education at Fort Hays State University getting a Bachelor’s in Physical Education with emphasis in Health Promotion & Wellness.
In 1999, he became a Certified Personal Trainer through NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association.) He also is a Certified Program Designer through NSPA (National Sports Performance Association.)
Derek works with everyone from student athletes to senior citizens, guiding wellness programs and fitness regimes to assist in sports performance, weight loss, strength and functionality for a better quality of life.
He’s a believer that it is all about balance – gym life, work life, social life, home life – they all need to work together.
Liz Walker, Trainer:
Liz is a Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Coach. She became passionate about helping others achieve their fitness goals after her own transformation and weight loss. Whether dancing at home or bicycling around the KC metro, Liz believes it is important to move every day.
She’ll use her personal experiences and other client successes to help anyone, at any level, on their journey to becoming well and fit. Bring your favorite playlist and Liz will share hers!
